Villa Cordevigo is an 18th-century villa built on a previous Renaissance palace. Surrounded by centuries-old trees and vineyards, it is located in the hinterland of Lake Garda, a few kilometers from the city of Verona. After a restoration project that maintained the nature of the place intact, today it is home to the Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais and the Michelin-starred Oseleta Restaurant. A splendid combination of history, art, and charm.

The lighting project for the entrance to Villa Cordevigo stems from a specific request from the client: it should not be a conventional project.
The path is indeed a natural scenic space, framed by rows of centuries-old cypresses that accompany visitors into a splendid resort, where architecture and landscape merge.
This beautiful place is evocative at all hours of the day, and at sunset, when the sun’s rays filter through the cypresses and invade the path, it becomes extremely poetic.
The project draws inspiration from this precise moment of the day, to recreate with artificial light a perpetual sunset to be reproduced during nighttime hours. The lighting effects were obtained through the design of special fixtures whose shape was suggested by the context; in fact, it is a reinterpretation of the cypress stumps present at some points along the long avenue.
The sixteen fixtures, made of corten steel, are characterized by four different screens that reproduce the silhouette of the branches of some cypresses actually present in the avenue. The light source comes from an LED source with a warm white tone of 2200K placed inside the “stumps” which, if necessary, can also serve as seats, and is filtered by the screens, alternating along the path, creating warm and rhythmic lighting effects that are always different, evoking natural sunrays.
